Will do, thanks Chris! In either case I'll follow up with some results.

I'm talking with So about a Kanna.... :)

Good for you!

While you're talking with him, give him a nudge to get back to me about some stuff we were discussing...

Teshiba got back to me;

So, turns out an anvil is pretty expensive to ship....so I a bought another hammer instead, lol. Thank you for encouraging me to reach out to him, he's a great source and has some really gorgeous stuff.

My father has offered to drag out the anvil, and then I'm going to make the appropriate surface as a drop in for the hardy if we dont already have one in the shop.

So Yamashita got back to me yesterday - not sure if you talked with him or not. I've got a very exciting chisel order in progress!

Sounds good! I have been waiting for him to get back to me on my orders to use the opportunity to nudge him, he must be replying in series.

He had a ton of old emails from me, caught in the junk filter, so I'm going to follow through on some of the requests I've made even though things have changed. I asked him about mortise chisels and instead I'm going to have him order me some long handle paring chisels (Konobu :) ) and a sharpening stone later on in addition to the Kanna.

I rarely see you post with such excitement, so consider my interest piqued!
