Here are some different Kanna I picked up on ebay and one from Stu.
The first pictured is the Meimon Tsunesaburo
The next is a plane I picked up from Ebay, I don't know the maker's name but it looked like a solid plane.
Another ebay find from Tsunesaburo the 2nd, here's the description from the seller:
Japanese plane Hira kanna "Michi" 70mm by Tsunesaburo the Second
This plane was made by Tsunesaburo the Second about 13 years ago.
It was made with old blue steel.

Another kanna picked up from ebay with description:
Japanese plane Hira kanna "Shigesada" 70mm by Hideshi Ogata
This plane was made by Hideshi Ogata about 8 years ago.
Hideshi Ogata is well known for his "Namo no Hana" plane
It was made with old white steel.
This plane came in the box shown.
The final plane to add is:
And the description:
Japanese plane Hira kanna "Gaho" 70mm by Fusaichi Yamaguchi
This plane was made by Fusaichi Yamaguchi about 20 years ago.
Fusaichi Yamaguchi is well known for his "Ama no Hitotsu Me" plane
It was made with old blue steel.
These were all purchased for two reasons: I needed some kanna to learn on and they were fairly cheap (outside of the Meimon). Embarrassingly, none have been set-up yet. I've had them acclimating to my area before setting them up. I'll post as each one goes through the set-up process since I'll need some direction from those of you with experience. Luckily, Chris has posted a very detailed set-up guide.

Re: Kanna from the bay
Ha ha, I don't know about that. These are very basic planes from what I can understand. The only one that cost me over $200 was the Meimon Tsunesaburo. The sad thing is that I currently fall under the definition of collector instead of user.
These tools will be put to use, I have no intention of letting them collect dust for too long. I'll be more proud when I can post pictures of the planes with thin shavings flying out of the mouth.
I posted these here because I think this is a great place to create an encyclopedia of tools, makers and reviews, etc. I have some chisels I'll post eventually, most are very basic grade Koyamachi, Imai and the lone Tasai from Chris.

I should post pics of my group of mutts. Maybe someone could tell me who made them and such.

Re: Kanna from the bay
I think I bid on one of your planes Chris, they look sweet.
This are 2 old ones I managed to set up to cut decently thin shavings. I don't like the way the 1000 diamond stone works with this guys, it tends to chip them. I also had a cerax 1000 but didn't like it either. I'm in the market for another stone right now.
This one looks similar to some "famous" (I found one similar on a japanese site) with a crane on it, but it's no possible to distinguish the engraving anymore. From memory they are 65 and 72.
Does anyone knows what the sign in the upper right means? I've seen plenty of blades with something very similar to it.

Re: Kanna from the bay
I've seen that mark before too, however it is a bit too cursive to make out easily.
I suspect it is a blacksmith guild mark. Not sure which one though. If I could see other images of the same mark, possibly one will be more legible.

Re: Kanna from the bay
Just came across this thread and I'm curious as to any updates on how some of these planes are working out for you guys. Chris, I'm particularly curious about your, "Gaho" 70mm by Fusaichi Yamaguchi, as I've seen many similar planes being sold by the same seller on ebay.
I just purchased a Mosaku kanna, I'll post up some pics when I get a chance. I haven't set it up yet, as I'm trying to be patient and let the dai acclimate.

Re: Kanna from the bay
Sadly Jon, they've been sitting and are still not set-up. I will be at Chris' courses for tool set-up and I plan on taking at least one of these kanna with me. I'll report back as I get them set-up. I have an extra 42 and 45 degree bedded dai for some of these planes so hopefully I'll have something good to report over the next few months.
