Selling your first born, or an internal organ, can free up needed funds. These are Japanese chisels after all...

Chris, I forgot to ask..but you mention retailers who can potentially give a better price on the Yamahiro's? I understand if it's not shareable knowledge. Thanks.

Sure, most Japanese tool retailers charge less than Iida. I recently purchased a Takamichi paring chisel from Susuki-ya. It had a little twist, but once I resolved that I fell in love. Last long time in elm.
