Selling your first born, or an internal organ, can free up needed funds. These are Japanese chisels after all...

Chris, I forgot to ask..but you mention retailers who can potentially give a better price on the Yamahiro's? I understand if it's not shareable knowledge. Thanks.

Sure, most Japanese tool retailers charge less than Iida. The catch is that he can communicate in English, while the others do not, or only communicate a little in English.

I recently purchased a Takamichi paring chisel from Susuki-ya. It had a little twist, but once I resolved that I fell in love. Last long time in elm.
