I've had the bike sickness myself. I think I'm down to five now though, or is it six...? They have made fixed gears without brakes illegal in Japan now as well, and you can't carry a knife more than a few inches long. Imagine that in what has been such a cutting edge culture, it's nuts. We have tracks though, with no brakes allowed. :D

I'm selling 2 of the bikes and will leave the fixie in Germany, I have one italian beauty in Chile waiting for me. Guess what I'm buying with the money of the bikes...

My friend says that there's an equation for the number of bikes (or handplanes!) you need... Let N be the number you currently own, and the number you need is N+1.

I have a friend from Uruguay who has a bike shop here. I remodeled his shop and took some of the payment as bikes that I would not have normally bought - due to price. Luckily my wife is very patient (she has 3) with my bikes AND my tool obsession. I don't think I am ready for fixie with no brakes.
