Craftsmanship in Wood

This section of the forum is a bit of a response to the OWWM forum, which resolutely bans any discussion of woodworking machines from outside the US. Hey, everyone gets to have their rules, narrow-minded as they may be. I thought it would be nice though to have place to post up pictures of Japanese woodworking machinery. My experience of it, and ongoing impression, is that Japanese woodworking equipment is every bit as stout and well made as anything made elsewhere in the world. And they have some unique machines not seen anywhere else. So, their machinery is overdue for some attention. And, to be clear, the idea here is that discussion be extended to fine woodworking equipment from any corner of the globe.
