Here is a better view of the blade on the resharpening system. I estimate it at about 15 cms wide.
When my parents used to drive me to (and from) school one of the landmarks on the way was a pub called "The Flitch of Bacon" in the village of Little Dunmow in Essex, UK. Haven't thought about that in years.
Lots of timber-framed buildings in that area, including this pub, so this is on-topic
