any one heard of unitronex? I found a 12" jointer semi locally but I had never heard of the manufacturer. I believe it is from Poland though that was surmised after only a cursory search. anyone familiar with the quality of polish iron? the tables are 13x88" and seem much more useful than the other American made pointers im considering. and thoughts are appreciated.

Just teasing...

I don't know much about Unitronix, other than they are Polish. Got any pics?

Looks decent! Deep ribbed cast tables are a nice aspect.

this is polish woodworking machinery, but not "unitronex". This is one of the best machine and it name is Żefam DSZA 30 (I think) Machine is heavy, stabile, table is cast iron ~2,2meters long, very nice surface after planing. You can not "kill" this machine  ;)
A lot of professional carpenters use this machinery.
If You have any question, feel free to ask.
In Google graphic write Żefam DSZA 40 or Żefam DSZA30

I was hoping one of our European friends would have some insight I am seriously considering the machine. I will search under that name. hopefully more information will be available under the proper title. I am most concerned with the bearing, knives and parts availability. thank you for the help marek.

I think this machine has 3 or 4 standard knives (300/305x30x3mm). You can buy it in your country. Bearings it is also standard and it should be no problem to buy it. This machine has a simple structure, therefore work very well ;) :)
Electric motor (4kw I think), cast iron tables and construction is more or less this machine. So, it means You don't need any special spare parts ;) Anyway, if You will need some original parts :) I can help You. (sorry, my English is poor, but I hope You understand me more or less :)

if you think your English is poor you should hear my German. very rough. I am awaiting my insurance check for my damaged tools and I will be contacting the seller to see if we can strike a deal. if so I will remember your generous offer to assist, should I need replacement parts. im hoping all will be well with the machine. I am impressed by the apparent build quality, very modern design when compared to its American equivalents. thank you again for the help, it is very much appreciated.
