Hello;
Just acquired a 10 inch Ryobi surface planer yesterday. Does anyone know anything about them?

I don't see any pics...

It will be 110v, high rpm, a bit noisy. Which model?

It is AP-10 model. I don't have a smart phone or know how to put up a picture yet. Pretty new at computer knowledge!

I see it is a little shoebox planer. Have you run some wood through it? Does it work okay?

No wood through it. It runs fine, loud as hell, but I it didn't come with the blade setting tool and I don't think the blades are that sharp so I don.t want to run anything through till I check the blades. Seems like it was hardly used . The price was right also (free). Some one passed and left it in the house that was getting demolished. I might try a red oak flooring I have to see, maybe! I also have some poplar witch is softer to try it. I am going to find the blade setting tool and sharpen blades before any testing can begin!

If I remember correctly, I bought some freud blades for that model along with the blade setting tool from ebay. I sold it to the HVAC bloke who replaced our air conditioner as I now have a hitachi f1000
