I did a little lapping with a DMT plate to see how tough it will be, it cuts it well but these grooves are fairly coarse so it's going to be slow going. I've been considering buying an EZE-LAP extra corse plate to remove the milling marks.

My thoughts so far are 150grit, 400 grit, then possibly 800 or 1000. Some people actually buff the surface, but I'm not sure how necessary that is.
