Pemberton Barn
This is a shot of the completed pemberton barn in pemberton bc Canada just up the road from Whistler. The Timber Framers Guild completed the project between May 12-24. All tolled there were 60,000 bd/ft of douglas fir used. The barn measures 50 odd feet by 150' or so. I'm happy that i survived the build and surprised as the pace was a feverish one. All safe though and no injuries to mention.

John,
A truly impressive structure - some more photos sure wouldn't go astray...

This is a shot of the first Pratt Truss being lifted into place. The truss measured 44' in length and 10' in depth. The logs were Douglas Fir and had been felled roughly one week prior. Due to shrinkage which will be occuring, the truss had a 2" camber built into it, through the manipulation of tension rods which were used to keep the truss together.

Re: Pemberton Barn
Awesome. I took a look around at more of the photos on the Timber Framer's Guild site. This looks to have been a fantastic project to have been involved with.
