Sorry slight confusion. The counter has a small 3' return on it now and this is where the western maple top will be installed and mitered. The curved bit in the model is the desk top which sits at 28". The counter is at 42" and the short return leg well miter there. I'll post up a pic of it installed tomorrow.

So, fully installed today with undermount LED's put in as well. I used two 3/8's ready rod dog bones installed on the under side. They really pulled the pieces together and from time to time i should be able to adjust things as settling occurs. So far so good.

Hi John,

Very nice piece. I can't help noticing that it doesn't line up with the floorboards although everything looks square. Are the boards at an angle to the walls of the room? Just curious.
