Chris,

Good call on the mitered edges. I was in such a hurry to get this thing ready for the show that it slipped my mind about putting splines into the corners. When I arrived to pickup the credenza from the show, I could see that one corner had opened. When I got home, I closed it and put a dovetailed spline through it.

I've worked along with the thought that wood cups toward the bark, and so make my cases so that the inside of the tree is the outside of the case....the cupping force should be working in my favor. Apparently that is not so reliable, or I goofed and put the outside up on the back piece (can't see the end grain and so I can't tell).

However, it looks like my dovetail pattern will change in the next round of these cases.

If only I had the same talent for seeing lottery numbers in advance...
