For my situation, a floor lamp would be a little easier to place, but I really have no strong preference.

Either style is fine but the table lamp would be my first choice.

I can't come to any preference. I think both would be nice.

Coming in a bit late to the discussion, but my vote would be for a floor lamp of good height, say five or six feet tall.

Now trending towards the floor lamp. I' m not sure a 5' ~ 6' lamp was what I had in mind. Something perhaps in the 35~40" height zone. However, like all CSG projects, participants are welcome to alter dimensions to suit their requirements.

Alllll-righty then, I've given this thread a few weeks hoping for input from more members, however none was forthcoming - and thank you to those who did give input - so i will proceed with drawing a floor lantern this coming week. I imagine some of you may have been chomping at the bit to get going, so please excuse the delay so far in the process.

Re: Suggestions for Project 3?
Well, I thought I was anxious to get started, but I still haven't finished "honorable sharpening" yet.
And today, in Wisconsin, it's too cold to go out.
Looking forward to starting a new project (and warmer weather).
