After Joint 2
As before, I'm open to suggestions as to what members might like to tackle as joint 2 study has concluded. We could tackle a third corner joint type, or something else. Last time, a poll indicated some interest in a saw cabinet, among other things. Please let me know your thoughts when you get a moment.

Re: After Joint 2
As always, I hope those who've completed projects are given much more weight but I'd be interested in:
Saw cabinet
Tool cabinet
Sharpening station
Coffee table
Side table
Chair
Workbench
Bookcase
And the list goes on and on and on...

Re: After Joint 2
This may be weird, but I love to see wood fail, like a fleet of old fishing boats in dry dock with all the planks buckling every which way, or an old barn slowly rotting into the ground.
Joints that are stressed and abused right up to the point of failing interest me. I have in mind a cutting board with mortised end cleats - wash it, dry it off, chop on it and see what happens over time.

Re: After Joint 2
My vote would be for another joint model. My attempt at joint 2 has been delayed by a time consuming project for work but I'm hoping to get back to it soon.

Re: After Joint 2
I'm with Jon B, and I am currently swamped with projects and cannot seem to find the time to finish the joint. I would like another joint model, but I have liked the other projects and am currently reworking the andon plan to make it a butterfly house (my wife collects and raises butterflies from our garden). Looking forward to whatever comes.

Re: After Joint 2
I'm interested in another joint. Of course will defer to the group consensus for sure. I think a scarf joint would be interesting to attempt. Looking forward to it.

Re: After Joint 2
Well, several people are interested in studying joinery further, so if it is alright I'd like to do another corner joint.
We can start in on that once a few folks have finished the current project. One thing at a time.

Re: After Joint 2
I haven't attempted the fixing pin joint yet. Today is the 22nd and i hope to complete this weekend just to update the group. Would like to keep up the momentum however, minimal it might be.
