Aloha All,

My first post here (or anywhere) in years. Best wishes to all for the New Year, wherever you are. I plan to get back to more studio projects (read as spec) after working the historic side of the street for years. The pay is decent, but the coming tsunami of high net worth construction is a cycle I need to pay attention to.
My one man shop(s) works, but I need to break out long stored tools to get my imagination back up. The kanagu bench is the next stop as I have spent way too much setting it up.

Happy new year to all of you. hope the years looking good for everyone. My vision for the year or biggest goal I guess would be to get my workshop up and going. I recently bought an old farm house just outside nashville TN. It was built in 1927 and framed out of oak lumber. Its on 5.2 acres and has a barn that ive envisioned for my shop. A lot of work ahead but im looking forward to it. Next will be to continue aquiring the hand tools necessary to not feel like such a rookie when posting pictures here.(buck bros home depot chisels are all i have at the moment.)any way once youve found what it is your passionate about you should submerse yourself in it.so thank you all for the contributions to this collaboration of talent and knowledge it is a pleasure to be a part of.

Finally figured out the resizing issue that has so long kept me frustrated and absent from sharing pictures.

Hot damn! I used to live in Hendersonville. Driving around Franklin I used to see all kinds of great barns like this for sale. Am equal parts jealous and...nope, the other one's jealous.

Guess the french press in my workshop needs an upgrade.
Goal for this year: More accurate joinery.
This forum is definitely going to help.
