I have the wordpress support folks working on this, it's not actually requiring a dual login, it's just that the redirect to change passwords directs you to the site to login rather than the forum.
The wordpress folks are working to fix, so maybe it can be used.

Once that’s sorted, I suppose investigating the migration is the next major step?
Re: Not really off topic
Brilliant. Sometimes it’s a simple bug and you can get good support in closing it out.

Re: Not really off topic
It may well be resolved as this point as I had someone sign up today and he said it was no problem.
I have BBpress, so I suppose the first step is to migrate to BBpress then migrate to WPForo.
Looking forward that process.

I tested a few approaches, and it all seems to be sorted out. I tried:
Again, give a holler/email if the conversion gives you trouble. It's probably good to pick a few of the more "complicated" posts, e.g. with images or other bbcode formatting from the old forum as reference cases to compare to their converted forms.
- Logging out of the new forum, then logging back into the forum
- Logging out of wordpress.com, logging out of the forum, then logging back into the forum (in case there were still logged-in cookies from wordpress.com preventing its authentication from showing up)

Excellent, so glad to hear that! Appreciate the feedback.
I'll get started pretty soon on the migration.

Hi all,
I'm mentally preparing for this before time runs out. Chris provided me with Admin access but I cannot find the access to the database which I'll need for the transition, hoping that you guys could advise.
Thanks gents.

Re: Not really off topic
I'm thinking that what you may need access to is not the admin section on here, but access to the bluehost account and the control panel there.

Re: Not really off topic
Agreed, that seems likely. Brian, what does the importer utility want by way of database access? Where/how does that utility run? It's likely it will want the credentials for a direct database connection. If so, then this Bluehost help page may point the way there.Chris Hall wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 6:43 amI'm thinking that what you may need access to is not the admin section on here, but access to the bluehost account and the control panel there.
