Some Genno

Below are two daruma made by Baba Masayuki an apprentice of Kozaburo Hasegawa.
Both daruma are 200 monme which I think is about the heaviest hammer used for chiseling.

On the left another Masayuki genno on the right a fun ate genno by Hiroki who also apprenticed under Kozaburo.

Mandara-ya sells them. About $80~100, depending upon weight.

My wife has pain issues and sometimes cannot fall asleep.
The story that you posted on your blog about why the Japanese
call a hammer 'genno' turns out to be extremely soporific. Sleeping pill
consumption at our house is way down. Thanks, Chris.

Perhaps I should focus more on posts which tend to induce slumber - though some say that describes most of them. :lol:
